Grand Opening!!!!
So last night at On The Corners Grand Opening, there was more excitement than I had imagined! There was a really great turnout, I believe all of Broken Arrow showed up for Broken Arrows Tea off, which brought a really great crowd. Debra, she is On The Corner's owner, she is an amazing, amazing person, inside and out! She is such a hard worker, and all of her amazing work paid off, and so many people doubted her....
Last night I also had the opportunity to meet all of the other really talented vendors, everyone was really sweet, and I am looking forward to getting to know all of them better.
All of this is all so new to me, and I feel honored to be working alongside such amazing people. Along with this new adventure brings with it so many different feelings. Challenging (Oh my, marketing? No one said anything about marketing!) , humbling (will people like what Ive done with all of my uniqe little creations), and proud (Wow! I'm really doing this!) My great friend Malisa, she has helped me and held my hand through alot of it, without her advice and coaxing, I dont know as if I would have had the courage to do what I have done. I will post pictures later on today. My original goal all along, just haven't had an opportunity.
Right now I have an AMAZING piece to refinish, the story is its about 100 years old, if only this little hutch could talk, imagine the stories she would have to tell! Im really excited about the possibilities, I will be sure to post before and after pics as well.
Have a great day, and Thanks to everyone who stopped by last night.

Where did all my thoughts go.......
My first blog ever, and I'm staring at the screen wondering what to write. Which is odd, because my mind is always wondering and thinking about new projects. Which usually always gets me in some kind of trouble. Just ask my husband, he will be the first to tell you about all of my mischevious projects. I know he often thinks "What did I get myself into?" when I see him looking at one of my messes I created and shaking his head in disbelief. Defensively I have to explain yet another one of my "brilliant" ideas! He's never as excited about it as I am. So to my amazement, he sounded pretty interested in my new idea to set up shop, and call it Shabby Shop Girl. This will be a journey for sure, due to the fact, I have no idea how to do any of the business aspects but create one of my projects. So I hope you like what you see, and continue to follow me as I journey my way through, theres certainly going to be some of my crazy stories to go with it.
